@Evolution Of Wealth: There are certainly plenty of lies out there; any help you can get sorting them out is definitely a plus.

@Jersey Mom: I've heard the audiobook version of 'Smart Couples Finish Rich'; it was pretty good stuff. Bach is usually pretty good and helpful.

The contest is now officially over; all that's left is the drawing.

I'm going with "The Lies About Money". I love reading all about how messed up our financial systems are. It never ceases to amaze me how many people have blind faith in investments.

@Mike: Pretty good summary of those three books; your views sound right in line with how I reviewed them. You're in the running to win, my friend.

@Liz: Congratulations on graduating; here's hoping the economy picks up and makes things easier on you in the future. 'Yes, You Can Get a Financial Life' is a good guide to getting your financial house in order, just in case you win and want to buy it yourself.

@Bucksome Boomer: I'll put you down as an 'all of the above', then. It's definitely a good way to pass the books along.

@CJ Bowker: There are some interesting anecdotes and stories in 'The Best Investment Advice I Ever Heard', and it's definitely a fun read.

@Jaime: Ben Stein is pretty impressive as a personal finance writer; I've read a few of his other books, and he makes good points, usually backed up with lots of data and calculations.

@FS: Bach does make some good points; and you're in the running now. Thanks for the compliment, by the way!

@Jesse: Thanks much, and good luck in the drawing. They are pretty good books, probably worth reading if you get the chance.

•Yes, You Can Get a Financial Life!

I've always wanted to read a book by Ben Stein but never had a chance to. Though I haven't read most of these, and I thought I had read a TON of PF books. Thanks for a great contest!

If I had to pick one I think I'd pick "The Best Investment Advice I Ever Received". I've never heard of it before but collections of stories usually make for a good read that people can relate to. Seems interesting.
Now I have to go tweet about it.

Great idea to recycle the books. They're meant to be read; not stored.

I've read David Bach's Automatic Millionaire and thought it was just OK. I think the premise was a great one - automatic your finances to avoid screwing them up- but it was really a 10 page idea more than a full book.

Jim Cramer's Mad Money was surprisingly good. I'm really not a fan of his t.v. show, but I found the book quite informative.

Rich Dad, Poor Dad was a great read. It's not a hard-finance book, being a largely fictional account of his financial influences while growing up but it makes some good points and gets a person thinking about finances in a way I don't think other books do, or did at the time he wrote that.

I'd be looking forward to reading anything else on that list though. :)
